Gato Boys @ BU Season Opener

What a meet this turned out to be. The BU magic was alive and well with the resurfacing of the track. Graham Blanks and Parker Valby both broke the NCAA 5000m record, after finishing up their campaign on the grass as champions. On top of that, Nico Young from NAU was seconds away from breaking the 3000m record held by his own teammate who was also in the race, Drew Bosley. We interviewed them along with Craig Engels, Jack Anstey, Brooke Morabito and Lex Young. Due to the typical traffic coming into Boston, we ended up missing the first heat of the women’s 3000m. We sadly missed out on a good one as Olivia Markezich ran the second fastest time in NCAA history.
